While at Yahoo!, one of the projects we worked on was a native Yahoo! application for an HP printer which had a detachable touch-enabled tablet which ran the Android operating system. The Yahoo! app would pull data such as news, stocks, weather and mail, in real-time and allow users to print a daily “digest” of all their information. These screens represent a few of the weather screens I designed for the application. The intention was to show a photorealistic representation of the actual weather by swapping out the background image to reflect the current weather conditions.
Photorealistic icons were drawn for every weather pattern that the Yahoo! weather service provided. Below are just a few samples of the icons that I provided for this app.
