Background
In 2019 I was approached by a local DIY craft company named Bramble Berry to make significant experience improvements to their already successful e-commerce website. The goal was to modernize the site and introduce a consistent design language which would be responsive across multiple surfaces.
Responsive Design
I worked collaboratively with the Bramble Berry product and development teams to design and develop a new visual language and layout system which would be consistent and holistic across multiple surfaces and device types.
Category & Product Detail Pages
Careful attention was paid to the entire customer journey from discovery to post-purchase. A new navigation system was introduced which was optimized for the taxonomy of Bramble Berry's product catalog and Category pages were designed to feature and highlight dynamic content like new products or best sellers.
Article Pages
A big part of Bramble Berry's popularity was the relationship they built with their customers through original content aimed at making their customers as success as possible with their products. Careful attention was paid to the redesign of their Articles section. Dynamic sections were introduced which highlighted fresh content and a visual system was designed to represent article content consistently across devices.
Cart & Checkout
The Cart and checkout experiences were updated to include modern forms of payment including electronic gift certificates.
